Being “Strong and Courageous” with the Ogra kids

This past week, we had a team come from Peachtree Baptist – Atlanta, Georgia. The team of Georgians dove into the week with fervor and excitement. This week was also the first week of campers from the Ogra ministry. It was awesome to see both ministries combine forces to pour into the lives of these awesome campers. I was also blessed to be joined by the Romanian leader of the short-term team. She now lives in the United States, but has partnered with Livada many times. It was great to hear how some of the kids she worked with are now successful adults and are pouring their time back into Livada’s ministry. And I have been able to witness some of their work this summer. Seeing the history of ministry makes me excited for the kids we serve and the opportunities they will have in the future. It also makes me thankful to be part of such an established and involved ministry.
Once all the activities were finished and points were accounted for, Delfinii Mov won this week at camp. Seeing my campers’ hard work pay off and the genuine excitement they demonstrated each and every day was a tremendous blessing. And so was this entire week of camp.
Though my team was victorious this week, the true victory and glory belongs to the Lord for his transformative power and His incredible work here in Romania and with all those whose lives have been touched by Livada, including mine.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21, ESV
