“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:3
After a cold and grey winter the children and we, the staff and volunteers, are all glad to see the sun and we even enjoy the spring showers. On the third week in April the schools in Romania have a week of extracurricular activities in school called “Scoala Altfel” in Romanian. Just like every year we help the school in Ogra for two days with activities and sport competitions. It is a good opportunity to create relationships with all the children in the village not just the ones in the gypsy community. On the first day the weather wasn’t on our side and it rained the whole day, because of this we had to do our activities inside in a small gym, it was a great way to see how God answers prayers as we prayed for sunny weather for the next day; and God answered our prayers, which was a great testimony for the children about God’s love and faithfulness. We really enjoyed playing outside and interacting with each other. I personally like this opportunity to help the children in the gypsy community to integrate and create closer relationships with the Romanian and Hungarian children in the village.
