More Day Camps in Ogra village
The last two weeks of the Ogra program were very special because we got to interact with kids that are closer in age to us. Watching them grow and develop into the “teenage stage” was exciting and challenging at times. The last week of Ogra camp came and went all too quickly. The middle and older kids are coming to camp but we had to say “la revedere” to our precious five and six year old’s.
The sweetest part of the day was the end of the morning class. All of the volunteers and staff stood at the front of the gym in a line that led out the door. One by one, each child was chosen to come up and shake our hands and hug us goodbye. It was beautiful. We got dozens of hugs, kisses, high fives. Morgan even got a bloody lip from an enthusiastic huger—he went in head first, but he was so precious she didn’t mind. We love those kids and miss them dearly. Who knew that God could make us fall in love so easily and quickly. Now we are off to camp, and we are thrilled to see those middle boys and girls again! Please keep us in your prayers as we continue our day camps with the Ogra kids in town.
