“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives” Jackie Robinson
We always love to analyze our work and see what can be done better so that we truly have an impact on the lives of the people and the children in Ogra. Looking into becoming better at what we do we realized that the groups we work with are too large in numbers and we never get the chance to talk to each child individually and to truly connect. This was mainly because we had our programs on Saturdays and we only had the school available for a few hours. Because of this, the children ages between 7 and 10 years old, had the opportunity to come only every other week. Another thing we realized was that the age gap between 7 and 10 was a bit large and some of the activities were either too difficult for the younger kids or too boring for the older ones. So, we changed everything up. Instead of having the activities on Saturday mornings we moved them during the week, we also split the children in groups of ages, 5 – 6 year old, 7 – 8 year old, 9 – 10 year old, 11 – 12 year old and 13 – 14 year old. The programs are on Mondays from 5pm-7 pm the 5-6 year old and the 7-8 year old. Also on Tuesdays from 5pm to 7pm the 9 – 10 year old, 11 – 12 year old, 13 – 14 year old. We started this new structure on the 27th of February and after two weeks we can say that the attending is better, and the children are more interactive. Thank you for your continuing support and prayer. Please continue to pray for our ministry so that our work in Ogra is changing this community.
