Gabriella Simon
Foster Care Dept. Coordinator
Gabriella's
interest and love for children began in the 2000s, when she was a teacher at the Sunday School of the Baptist church in Targu Mures, where she is an active member. During that period, together with other teachers and young people, they visited weekly the orphanage called "Big Blue" in the city, where dozens of orphaned children lived, in precarious conditions, deprived of parental love. Both Gabi and the other teachers had the opportunity to share with the children about Jesus, offering them love, time, and material things. In 2005, she decided to work at the LOC Foundation, where her passion for children became intertwined with her job. She started as a social parent in the “Ana” Family House, then she was an independent life instructor for young women in the residential apartments. After a few years, she started working with abandoned babies in one of the pediatric hospitals in Mures County. Currently, with her rich experience, she coordinates the Foster Care department which is composed of 6 families that care for a number of 11 children. Of the 11 children, 2 were adopted and the third is in a long adoption process. In addition to this service, Gabriella is also involved in the After School program of the Prevention of Abandonment department. Gabriela is passionate about her work, always trying to surpass herself. She is energetic, tireless, empathetic and dedicated to her work with children and their families. We thank God for what He is doing, through Gabriella, within the LOC Foundation.
