Emese Mateas
Orphan Outreach and Prevention of Abandonment - Social Worker
Emese
graduated from her master’s in Children’s Rights recently with a bachelor's degree in Social work and is currently getting her second master’s in School Counseling and Psycho-Pedagogical Assistance. But that’s not where her story starts with us. During high school, she started volunteering in our Orphan Outreach program and attended our summer camp in 2015. That’s where she heard about Jesus for the first time. She learned about His love, His mercy, and His peace. And that is when the 16-year-old teenager, orphaned by a parent herself, gave her life to Jesus and got adopted into His Family. Years later, she became the coordinator of the same program, leading our Follow-Up clubs with the teenagers as well as the Saturday Bible Clubs with the younger kids from the gypsy village. Each week she brings the Gospel to around 50 children with the hope and constant prayer of growing this family and bringing God’s Kingdom closer and closer. Emese is a very kind and gentle person, both with the children and with the colleagues with whom she works and spends her 8 hours of work. She is always ready to help; she is a great believer with a strong desire to improve. And she proved all of the above as a camp coordinator this year. We have so much to learn from Emese, and we truly appreciate her being part of the Livada Family. Welcome to our team! God bless you!
