Snowy skies, warm hot chocolate, and even warmer hearts—our new year began with a Christmas & New Year “after party” for some of the most faithful Follow-Up Program participants. We loved seeing how much the boys have grown and celebrating the joy of continuing the journey together.
As the new school year begins in Romania, joy, excitement, and purpose are filling the hearts of children and staff at LIvada Orphan Care. From creative Bible lessons to back-to-school smiles, this month has been full of reminders that every small act of love can change a child’s story.
The Aushusha program continues to bring joy to the community of Ogra, helping children discover God’s goodness through engaging, faith-filled activities.
A special lesson, “The Story of Moses in 5 Characters,” invited kids to explore themes of faith, trust, and God’s kindness through songs, prayers, and a hands-on craft inspired by the story. The laughter, creativity, and curiosity in the room were a beautiful reflection of the program’s purpose—to help children know that God is good and they are deeply loved.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who supports this life-giving ministry, making moments like these possible for children who need encouragement and hope.
The first day of school is always special—but for the children cared for by Fundația LOC, it’s more than just a new academic year. It’s a fresh start, full of possibilities and confidence in who they are becoming.
Backpacks were packed, smiles were wide, and hearts were full of anticipation as the children stepped into classrooms ready to learn and grow. For many, school is not only a place of education—it’s a safe space where dreams take shape, where they are seen, heard, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves.

A podcast introduction to the ministry of Livada Orphan Care
At Livada Orphan Care, we believe that every child deserves warmth, security, and the chance to focus on their education without the challenges of harsh weather. In January 2025, we had the privilege of making a tangible difference in the lives of children in Lascud and Ogra through Livada’s Project Warm Feet.
In the small village of Lascud, where unpaved roads turn into muddy obstacles during rainy days, children from kindergarten through 4th grade often face a challenging journey to school. Thanks to your generous support and our incredible partners at Metro Ministries Romania, we provided rubber boots to these little ones. Now, the cold and mud will no longer stand in their way, and they can walk to school with confidence and joy!
Meanwhile, in Ogra, knee-deep mud was a daily struggle for children in grades 0-4. But yesterday, that changed! Through Project Warm Feet, we equipped every child with a sturdy pair of rubber boots. Their excitement was contagious as they realized that rain or shine, they could now walk safely and comfortably to school.
Through your donations, you have ensured that these children can move forward—literally and figuratively—towards a brighter future. This is more than just a pair of boots; it’s an act of love and care that reminds them they are not alone.
And this is just the beginning. As we look ahead, we are preparing for our next outreach in Aushusha, where we will distribute clothing to children in need as the seasons change.
