At Livada Orphan Care, we believe that a simple act of kindness can spark joy and transform lives. Recently, our boys from the follow-up program, along with our dedicated volunteers and in partnership with Youth With A Mission, set out to bring a little light to the village of Corbești. What followed was a day filled with love, connection, and powerful lessons in giving.
In the spirit of Christmas, we visited homes across the village, singing carols and sharing the good news of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Each visit brought an opportunity to pray with families, offer encouragement, and deliver thoughtful gifts. These included presents for children, meat, non-perishable food, and sweets. But more than the physical gifts, we sought to offer moments of communion, warmth, and hope.
The reactions we received were heartwarming. Smiles and words of gratitude filled the air, reminding us of the power of community and compassion. For our boys, this experience was transformative. They realized they could not only receive but also give to others in meaningful ways. One young man expressed it beautifully, saying, “Now I know I’m rich!”
This outreach was more than just an event—it was a lesson for the soul. It showed how giving, even in small ways, can create ripples of joy and hope that extend far beyond what we can see.
