Hello! My name is Marga. I am 25 years old. I grew up at the Loc Foundation from the age of 7, along with my siblings.
I will never forget the first day we arrived at the Loc homes. I felt shy and timid but also very happy with our new family, who welcomed us with such warmth and empathy. We were very excited about the welcoming and amazing atmosphere that day. It was the most beautiful house I had ever seen, but the most wonderful thing for me was when we went upstairs to the rooms and were told to choose a bed. I had never had my own bed, not at my mother’s house and not at the Luduș orphanage, where I was abandoned for a year until Bruce saved us from that unbearable ordeal.
Our lives changed radically when we arrived at the foundation. We received everything we thought we would never have again: love, attention, care, and a lot of understanding. I felt, and still feel, that I experienced unconditional love from the mothers and educators, especially because they spent the most time with us. They were everything we needed to fill our emotional voids. I can say with immense gratitude that thanks to them, I healed from all the childhood sufferings and the pain of abandonment. In a word, my life was perfect. I truly say perfect because, growing up, I realized that we had many things that children from ordinary families do not have.
As I grew older, I had to slowly detach from the foundation, and life was again quite tough on me. I went through certain difficulties and received unconditional support even as an adult from the foundation, and I thank them through this message. They were my family, and I still consider them as such. I stayed for a long period at the Rene guest house, during which I received a lot of emotional and psychological support from Mr. Vio. Having a person like Mr. Vio in your life is like detaching yourself from all the problems you may have, receiving a lot of useful advice, and emotional, psychological, and spiritual guidance.
Thanks to the Loc Foundation, I learned and know that God’s role is very important in my life. This was a small part of my life story, and I am very grateful and thankful for all the support I received and for the good upbringing they provided me.
