This month, Livada Orphan Care had the privilege of participating in a local NGO Fair in Romania—a unique event that brought together nonprofit organizations from across the region. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with the community, raise awareness about our mission, and stand alongside other groups who are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations.
Set up in a lively town square, the fair served as a vibrant meeting place for people curious to learn about causes they could support or become involved in. Our Livada team came ready with brochures, stories, photos, and smiles—sharing with attendees about our work with orphans, at-risk Roma (Gypsy) children, and abandoned babies. We talked about our Christian residential care, outreach clubs, cradle care ministry, and our prevention programs in marginalized villages.
Perhaps most impactful were the personal conversations—opportunities to explain how the children we serve are not just statistics, but individuals with names, dreams, and tremendous potential. Many people were surprised to learn that Romania still faces high abandonment rates and that many children still grow up in state care or at risk of trafficking, poverty, and abuse.
The fair also gave us a chance to network with other NGOs doing important work across Romania—from environmental protection to education and anti-trafficking initiatives. Together, we form a mosaic of hope, and events like this remind us of the strength found in collaboration.
We’re grateful for every person who stopped by our table, asked questions, offered encouragement, or signed up to learn more. Whether through prayer, volunteering, or donations, we know that every gesture of support helps us continue planting seeds of hope in young lives.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we are “a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor” (Isaiah 61:3).
